Dear subscribers and readers,

Last night we became aware our website was a victim of a massive hacking attempt that took down all the sites under Ndole Media Group hosted servers.

Hacking for a small company like Ndole Media is a scary thing. At one moment, we were facing the prospect of losing some of our most valuable intellectual property built over ten years, with the most growth experienced in the last two years.

As a news and broad-spectrum media company, we take cyber security very seriously, but we understand it’s impossible to protect ourselves at 100 percent.

We have a team of experts.

Thanks to our team of professional web developers at Arity Infoway, in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, we were able to restore everything to normal for hotseatnews.com and rafikinews.com. We’re, however, still working to restore obambla.com, which appears to have had more severe vulnerabilities than our other sites.

We thank our team at Arity Infoway for taking quick action and preventing a catastrophic impact that could have erased our presence on the web. I thank Pradip Vaishnani, the founder, for alerting me about the hacking attempt as soon as they detected it. Thank you, Hitesh Ajmera and the entire team, for working hard to get us back online within two hours.

Due to the hack, we are taking a few days to evaluate our cyber security protocols to ensure all sites under Ndole Media are protected and backed up to the best of our abilities.

We recognize all organizations are vulnerable to cyber-attacks, and we’re not an exception, but we will do our best to ensure we take all possible precautions to protect our work and clients.

Our flagship website hotseatnews.com is the home of serious and professional independent investigative journalism.
I want to take this opportunity to thank our subscribers who have supported us through our infancy to now.

Most importantly, I thank my wife Mary and my family for their unwavering support. I also thank the HSN team, particularly my partner Phoebe Omolo and our reporters, for their outstanding work fueling our steady growth.

Ndole Media is the parent company for hotseatnews.com, Rafikinews, Obambla, and coming soon web platforms Pichagraphix, Lokkna, and CarDriva. We’re a growing company seeking to enhance the tech landscape in Africa and within the African diaspora.
