President Donald Trump former fixer Michael Cohen, will rain on Trump’s kumbaya parade with North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un Wednesday.
In a written opening statement, Cohen does not hold back on his negative views about his old boss.
“I am ashamed that I chose to take part in concealing Mr. Trump’s illicit acts rather than listening to my own conscience. I am ashamed because I know what Mr. Trump is.
He is a racist.
He is a conman.
He is a cheat.” Cohen said in his statement.
Cohen plan to testify publicly, under oath, in front of the House Oversight Committee that he witnessed Trump perform illegal acts even as president.
And he will bring receipts, such as a check from Trump to reimburse Cohen for the hush money he paid to high an affair to a porn star.
While this promises to be a dramatic testimony in front of cameras, the opening statement released does not reveal anything new, rather it confirms allegations that despite his denials, Trump knew about Wikileaks plans to dump embarrassing emails stolen from the DNC.
Essentially, Cohen will also confirm, again, that Trump is a bad person.
We already know that, but the fact that somebody close to him will be spilling the beans in a televised session in Congress is sure to have a dramatic effect on Americans.
Missing in Cohen’s statement is anything that links Trump conspiring with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election.
Cohen’s testimony, while controversial has attracted a more controversial and rare attack from GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz, who tweeted and deleted what what is perceived as a threat to Cohen and his family.
