Azimio-One Kenya Coalition Party flag bearer Raila Odinga, will cut short his US trip to attend President Emilio Mwai Kibaki’s State Funeral.
The State Funeral is set to take place on April 30th.
Mr. Kibaki death coincided with Odinga’s trip to the US where he was scheduled to meet with Kenyans living abroad and US government officials. Odinga is scheduled to speak to Kenyans living the Washington DC area in a townhall style meeting later today.
It’s unclear when the former Prime Minister will jet back to Kenya, but he will not attend the much anticipated town hall meeting with Kenyans living in the West Coast US.
The event organized by Azimio-One Kenya USA, was scheduled to take place on April 29, at 1pm in the California Bay Area.
