In a recent Twitter Space discussion, Prof. Seronei Chelulei Cheison- Professor of food biotechnology in Germany, warned Kenyans against electing Deputy President William Ruto saying he has ill motive to seek the top seat.
“A lot of us think we’re dealing with a guy who will throw up his hands and give up, William is not that kind of a fellow,” Cheison said. “I’d like to give us a warning. The reason why William is in this race is not because of me as a Nandi, or you as a Kenyan who is Mama Mboga or Baba Mkokoteni, William is in this race for William. He is chasing only one thing. He’s chasing immunity. William is afraid of the ICC being revived, he’s looking for immunity for that. William is afraid of the ghosts of corruption following him.”
Cheison said Ruto is pretending to care for Mama Mboga as a cover for his true intentions.
“The key thing that’s driving him, is immunity from impunity, and he will do anything to win,” Cheison said.
