President Donald Trump just lost a fan. A big one. Ann Coulter, author of a ridiculously titled book in “In Trump We Trust, turned on the president in a radio interview and left no doubt what she thinks about the president she once gushed about and deified — Trump is an idiot.
“The only national emergency is our president is an idiot.” Coulter declared about Trump as a matter-of-factly in a radio interview on KABC, Los Angeles. Coulter was Responding to Trump’s assertion that he doesn’t know Coulter.
And what comeback did Trump throw out?
“I don’t know her. I hardly know her…I just don’t have the time to speak to her.”
“I like her, but she’s off the reservation.” Trump said.
Trump made the comment at a wild press conference, where he declared a national emergency so he could bypass Congress and channel money from defense fund to pay for a wall at the boarder between US and Mexico.
During the campaign, Trump promised his supporters on numerous occasions that he’d build a wall and Mexico would pay for it. Turns out Mexico refused to fork the pesos and he is now sticking the US tax payer with the bill.
Well, give the man a break, maybe he meant New Mexico State would pay for it.
The truth is, this, just like many Trump promises, was a con and he is doing everything in his power to make good on a ludicrous promise that many people consider stupid, unnecessary and waste of money.
Trump’s supporters have stayed with him through a lot of his dramas. They have defended him through the Special Counsel Robert Mueller probe, despite the fact that it appears Trump, some members of his family and Trump Organization betrayed America. Their support stems largely from their distrust of the liberal media.
The question now is can the spell be broken? Is Coulter the kid in the crowd, who pointed out the obvious – the emperor has no clothes?
Besides calling Trump an idiot, she described him as a moron, a lazy incompetent, he has surrounded himself with absolute morons in Jared Kushner and his daughter Ivanka. She also described herself as one of those “who fell for his BS” among other condescending terms reference to the president.
The fight is on. Just go to the store and get your popcorn.
